As usual, we did our routine checks today to ensure your use of the Mobi2SMS Bulk SMS Mobile Services is great. A few things were unusual so we developed a few fixes for you:
When you sign up via Facebook or Google, you are prompted to update your profile before buying SMS Credits, Sending SMS or Managing Recipient Lists. We observed that when asked to update your profile, the default country shown is Ghana.
We sat down with a few users to test signup and figured out the reason. When you sign up through a Social Network, we really can’t tell your default country until you update your profile. As a result, Ghana shows selected.
We fixed this! Now, it defaults to our country Nigeria, which is where our business is domiciled. For enterprise clients, don’t worry! Your portal would default to the country you set for your business upon setup – we fixed your installation too.
Time Zone Changes
We really regret to inform you that we have not been up to date with Day Light Savings Time Zone changes that happen at different times of the year so when this happens, we often try to fix our time zones manually.
Guess what? We developed a fix! Now we have connected to other time sources that would help us check for these Day Light Savings Time Zone changes and automatically apply the difference. We are continually testing this however and would always be available to hear you – should you have any hitches with SMS delivery times or website activity timeouts.
